General Terms and Conditions

Applicable to service work and to the rental of work bays and vehicle lifts.

This is a translation for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the German version of these terms is legally binding.

1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all services provided by FERARITA AUTOSERVICE, Zürichstrasse 14, 4922 Bützberg (hereinafter the "garage"), in particular to service work, repairs and to the hourly rental of work bays and vehicle lifts (self-service workshop).
By placing an order, making an online reservation or using the self-service workshop, the customer accepts these terms.
Deviating terms of the customer only apply if the garage has confirmed them in writing.

Online reservations are a binding request by the customer. The rental contract only comes into existence once the garage confirms it (by telephone, in writing or on site).
Two vehicle lifts are available. A reservation is made for a specific lift, a specific date and a specific starting time.
The garage may refuse or postpone a reservation for operational reasons. Any payments already made will be refunded in such a case.

The self-service workshop can only be booked in full hours. The smallest bookable unit is one hour.
Every hour started is invoiced as a full hour. This applies both to the booked time and to the time actually used.
Invoicing is based on the actual occupancy of the work bay, but at least on the reserved duration.

The work bay must be vacated and handed back in a clean condition at the end of the booked time.
If the booked time is exceeded, every additional hour started is invoiced at the applicable hourly rate, provided the bay is not otherwise occupied.
If the booked time is exceeded, the garage is entitled to charge an additional late surcharge of up to 50 percent of the hourly rate per hour started.
In the event of late payment and after a payment reminder period has expired unused, the garage is entitled to charge default interest of 5 percent per year pursuant to Art. 104 of the Swiss Code of Obligations, plus reasonable reminder fees.

Vehicle lift with your own tools: CHF 25.- per hour. Vehicle lift including our standard tools: CHF 30.- per hour.
Special tools are charged separately (for example engine hoist from CHF 15.-, special puller CHF 15.-, spring compressor CHF 20.-, diagnostic device CHF 50.-, special tools for engine or gearbox work CHF 30.- to CHF 50.-).
Prices marked "from" are guide prices and are invoiced according to the actual work involved.
Towing service: CHF 1.- per kilometre. Replacement vehicle: CHF 20.- per day.
All prices are in Swiss francs and include statutory value added tax. Payment is due on site once the work has been completed, or in accordance with the invoice within 10 days.
The amount shown in the booking form is a non-binding cost estimate and not a fixed price.
Discount codes cannot be combined. Only one discount code can be redeemed per booking and per invoice; subsequent crediting or combining of several codes is excluded.
Discounts apply only to the items shown in the booking form, are not transferable and are not paid out in cash. The validity period, the active status and the maximum number of redemptions of the respective code are decisive.

Reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the booked appointment.
In the event of a later cancellation or a no-show, the garage may charge compensation of one hour at the booked hourly rate.
Cancellations must be reported by telephone on +41 77 984 40 47.

The workshop, the vehicle lifts and all equipment are used at your own responsibility and at your own risk.
Equipment may only be operated by persons who are familiar with it and trained accordingly. The garage may prohibit use at any time.
Customers are obliged to follow the safety regulations, the operating instructions and the instructions of the staff, and to wear suitable protective equipment. Protective equipment is provided on request.
The garage is not liable for damage to the customer's vehicle, to material brought along, or for personal injury arising from the customer's own work. Liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Liability for personal injury caused by gross negligence or intent remains reserved and cannot be excluded.
Customers are fully liable for damage they cause to facilities, tools or the building.
Customers are responsible for arranging sufficient insurance cover themselves.

Used oil, fluids and old parts may not be left behind in the workshop. Disposal is handled by the garage and invoiced according to the work involved.
The work bay must be left swept clean. Additional cleaning work is charged at the applicable hourly rate.

The statutory warranty periods apply to work carried out by the garage. Defects must be reported immediately upon discovery.
Cost estimates are non-binding unless they are expressly designated as binding. Foreseeable additional costs are discussed with the customer before the work is carried out.
Preparation for the official vehicle inspection (MFK) is not an official inspection and does not guarantee that the vehicle will pass it.
Replaced parts are only returned on explicit request.

The data collected in the course of a booking is used exclusively to process the order. The privacy policy of this website applies.

Swiss law applies exclusively.
The place of jurisdiction is 4922 Bützberg, unless mandatory statutory provisions require a different place of jurisdiction.
Should individual provisions of these terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
